Feed filters let you choose who shows up in your Feed. Tap the slider icon at the top of the Feed to open “Filters”.
- Open the Feed.
- Tap the slider icon at the top right.
- Change the filters you want. They save as you go.
Basic filters
- “Age range”: anyone from 18 to 70+.
- “Distance”: how far away people can be. If no one’s within your distance, you’ll see profiles a little further away.
- “Same country only”: based on your phone number’s country code.
Advanced filters
Narrow your Feed by “Looking for”, “Height”, “Children”, “Family plans”, “Nicotine”, “Past relationships”, “Alcohol”, “Religion” and “Zodiac sign”. Tap “Clear all” to reset them.
You can only filter on a question you’ve answered on your own profile. If you haven’t, the filter says “Answer this question to filter based on it”.
If you see “Verified profiles” here, see How do I see only verified profiles?
Premium filters
“Likes you already” shows only people who have already liked you. It’s part of Smitten Premium. Without Premium, tapping it shows you the Premium offer.
Profiles that fit your filters
The bar at the bottom of the Filters screen shows what share of profiles fit your filters. With “Likes you already” on, it shows how many people liked you and fit your filters.
Feed empty?
If the Feed says “No one new around you”, tap “Edit my filters” to widen them, or “Start over on Smitten” to see people you passed on again. See Fresh start.
