How does activity status work?

Updated

Activity status shows a green dot on someone’s profile when they’ve used Smitten recently. You can turn yours off in Settings, but then you won’t see anyone else’s either.

What the labels mean

  • “Active now”: they used Smitten in the last 10 minutes.
  • “Recently active”: they used Smitten in the last 2 hours.
  • No dot: they haven’t been on for more than 2 hours, or they’ve turned their activity status off.

Turn your activity status on or off

  1. Tap your profile photo in the bottom-right corner to open the “You” tab.
  2. Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner to open “Settings”.
  3. Tap “My account”.
  4. Switch “Activity status” on or off.

Good to know

  • Activity status is on by default.
  • It works both ways. When yours is off, no one can see your activity status, and you can’t see theirs.
  • When it’s off, Smitten doesn’t share when you were last active with other people.
