To delete your account, go to “Settings” → “My account” → “Delete or pause account” → “Delete your account”. You can’t undo it, and it doesn’t cancel a subscription.
Before you delete
- If you have Premium, cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first. Deleting your account or the app doesn’t cancel it. See How do I cancel my subscription?.
- Need a break? You can pause your account instead.
To delete your account
- Tap your profile photo in the bottom-right corner to open the “You” tab.
- Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner to open “Settings”.
- Tap “My account”.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap “Delete or pause account”.
- Tap “Delete your account”.
- Choose a reason.
- Tap “Delete” to confirm.
What happens next
- You’re logged out, and your profile is hidden from everyone straight away.
- Most of your data is permanently deleted after 30 days, and some records are kept. See What happens to my data when I delete my account?.
- A deleted account can’t be restored. You can create a new account with the same phone number, but your old profile, matches and chats won’t come back.
If something goes wrong
- If you see “Failed to delete account”, try again, or contact us and we’ll help.
- If your account is suspended, you can’t delete it in the app. Contact us instead.
